This Acceptable Use Policy applies to all CapyCue accounts, recordings, uploads, AI requests, published walkthroughs, embeds, APIs, and related services. Capitalized terms have the meanings in the Terms of Service.
1. Lawful and authorized recording
You may use CapyCue only for lawful purposes and only with authority to record and process the screen, application, audio, people, and information involved. You are responsible for required notices and consent, including laws that may require every participant to consent to audio recording.
2. Prohibited content and conduct
You may not use CapyCue to:
- violate law, regulation, court order, contractual duty, privacy right, publicity right, confidentiality obligation, or intellectual-property right;
- record or expose passwords, authentication tokens, private keys, full payment-card data, highly sensitive government identifiers, or protected health information without an authorized and appropriately safeguarded workflow;
- create, host, or distribute malware, phishing, credential theft, unauthorized surveillance, exploitation instructions, or content intended to compromise systems or accounts;
- harass, threaten, defame, exploit, discriminate against, or facilitate harm to another person;
- create or distribute unlawful sexual content, child sexual abuse material, or sexual content involving minors;
- impersonate a person or organization, conceal synthetic media where disclosure is required, or use AI voice output to deceive viewers about a real person's identity or endorsement;
- circumvent plan limits, access controls, safety systems, rate limits, billing measurement, or technical restrictions;
- probe, scan, attack, overload, scrape, reverse engineer, or interfere with CapyCue except through an expressly authorized security program;
- send spam or use public links and embeds for deceptive or abusive marketing; or
- resell or provide CapyCue as a competing service unless a written agreement allows it.
3. Customer and viewer privacy
Use redaction, source selection, privacy controls, and access restrictions appropriate for your recording. Do not make a walkthrough public merely because a link is convenient. If you record another person's personal data, you are responsible for providing required notices, honoring applicable rights, and removing material that you are no longer authorized to use.
4. AI output
Review AI-generated steps, text, captions, translations, and voiceovers before publication. Do not present synthetic voice as the voice of a real person without permission. Do not use AI output as professional legal, medical, financial, safety, or compliance advice without qualified human review.
5. Enforcement
We may investigate suspected violations and remove content, restrict sharing, pause processing, rate-limit, suspend, or terminate accounts. We consider the nature, severity, frequency, intent, and potential harm of the conduct. Where practical, we will notify you and provide an opportunity to correct the issue. We may preserve or disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law or protect people and systems.
6. Reporting
Report suspected abuse to support@capycue.com. Copyright claims should follow the Copyright Policy. Include enough information for us to locate and evaluate the relevant content.
